History
April 1974 | Established in Hizukushi-cho by 20 displaced engineers at the time of employee layoffs due to a major downsizing of the Ship repairing department of the US Fleet Activities Sasebo. |

October 1976 | Opened Yokosuka branch in Hinode-cho, Yokosuka Kanagawa. Started receiving orders for ship repairs from US Fleet Activities Yokosuka. Also started JMSDF ships repair as well. |
September 1979 | Established the Sasebo Tachigami Cooperative Organization to receive joint orders for ship repairs and to build factory apartments for joint projects. |
November 1980 | Received order for ship repairs for the US 7th fleet Military Sealift Command (MSC) (now US Navy military marine transportation) and overhauled the entire ship at Dry Dock #2 in Sasebo port, resulting in a dramatic increase in business. |
October 1983 | Construction of Sasebo Tategami Cooperative Organization factory apartments begins as a project for fiscal year 1983 due to the sale of government-owned land. |
April 1984 | Moved to Tategami-cho with the completion of the factory apartments. |
March 1992 | Obtained (General) Construction Permit from the Governor of Nagasaki, No. 6100. (Additions and modifications to update construction type still ongoing). |
March 1992 | Yokosuka office closed due to decrease in ship repairs. |
April 1992 | Changed the company name from Hosei Kogyo to Hosei Co., Ltd. |
June 1994 | Acquired factory No. 2 (currently the high-pressure gas manufacturing plant). |
June 2002 | Contracted an agency agreement with U.S. FDGM (current name FMSNA). Established FDGM Japan (now FMSNA Japan) on Hosei’s property. |
August 2002 | Obtained ISO9001 certification for Naval ship repair (first in Japan for ship repair category). |
January 2004 | Renovated Factory No. 2 and register as a high-pressure gas manufacturing plant. Began maintenance of high-pressure air equipment for JMSDF. |
June 2006 | Registered as a first-class architect's office (No. 18065). |
November 2006 | Registered for Specified Worker Dispatching Undertaking (Toku-42-300137). |
July 2007 | Obtained factory No.3 and attached tenant building. |
November 2010 | Began maintenance work for facilities and equipment of US Fleet Activities Sasebo (UTT Project). |
February 2013 | Awarded the Three Star Safety Award from NAVFAC FAR EAST for our maintenance expertise on UTT projects. |
December 2015 | Registered as electrician to the governor of Nagasaki prefecture (No. 27018). |
April 2016 | The president of the company changed from founder Yutaka Ikeda to Masahide Ikeda. |
May 2017 | Started Insurance agency business. Took over agency business of Nisshin Kasai Kaijou Hoken (Inc.) from Hosei Estate and started the agency business of Property Insurance Japan Nihon Koua (Inc). |
May 2017 | Switched over from Special Worker Dispatching Undertaking to General Worker Dispatch Undertaking. Obtained License for General Worker Dispatching Undertaking (No. HA42-300129). |
April 2020 | Established the warehouse No.4 (at Tanoura-machi, Sasebo city) |
