Japan is a maritime nation with the sixth largest oceanic area in the world.
Surrounded by the sea on all sides and dependent on foreign countries for most of its resources, Japan is home to a wide variety of ships , including container ships, tankers and other cargo ships, passenger ships , ferries and fishing boats. Among them, ships belonging to the U.S. Navy and the Maritime Self-Defense Force require an overwhelmingly high level of technical expertise in repair and maintenance compared to other ship types.

HOSEI CO., LTD. was founded in 1974 with 20 skilled craftsmen who had
been engaged in ship repairs at the U.S. Navy's Sasebo base. We are
proud that ship repair, which requires specially licensed engineers and
extremely strict quality standards, is an area where we can fully
demonstrate our skills. In order to further improve the quality of our
services, we have also acquired the international standard of ISO9001
quality management system certification, and have established the first
integrated system in Japan in the category of naval ship repair. In the
half-century since our founding, we have achieved top-class results in
the extremely important logistics support business of maintaining and
servicing U.S. Navy and Maritime Self-Defense Force ships in Sasebo,
and have earned the high regard and trust of not only the U.S. Navy and
Maritime Self-Defense Force, but also defense
manufacturers in Japan and the United States.

In order to meet the expectations of our customers, all of us at the company
will continue to make constant efforts and studies to further improve our
technology and quality. In recent years, based on the know-how we have
cultivated on the sea, we have been engaged in ship repair business for
various types of ships, including civilian ships as well as U.S. Navy and
Maritime Self-Defense Force ships, maintenance and management of U.S.
Navy base in Sasebo, land-based machinery maintenance business, public
and private construction business, public welfare business in anticipation of
the aging society, real estate business, and agricultural business.
In the future, we will continue to meet the needs of our customers with quality that "surpasses imagination," and without being satisfied with the status quo, we will continue to take on the challenge of creating new value with the aim of becoming a HOSEI Group that can contribute broadly to society.
